Kendall GT1 semi syn, for track use?

My mechanic uses 5w20 Kendall semi syn, at his shop, and had an O/C done recently. Would the GT1 be durable enough for a (light) track day?

By light I mean stints of no more than 3 two minute laps, and a few runs in a day.

Any thoughts? Its in the base RSX.

Thanks guys. I hate to admit it, I must be a marketing sucker. As much as I like the Kendall because they dont throw their products in your face, I'm also caution, because you never hear about the stuff. LOL.

No, I beleive thats the RDX. Small turbo engine. My wife and I drove one last weekend BTW. VERY nice engine, a bit raspy and noisier than Id thought, but very smooth with addictive torque.

I've never understood Kendall's marketing....

Back when they were their own company (1960's) they advertised their oils, but the advertised how HARD the oils were to find...like this was a selling point! I'm sure their were a lot of people who 'went for it', figuring, "if they say its hard to find, it must be because it is hard to make, so I have to get some!" They created a hysteria to drive up sales!

Even today, in Canada at least, you'll find GT-1 at Stinson's gas stations, but good luck even finding those! I'm 'lucky' in that I know of three places where I can easily get this oil if I want it; but for the average person, how are you to know that in Canada, the C-P oil is distributed by Stinson's?

Obviously, most don't bother with it, unless they need oil WHILE at the station.....

And Stinson's are only in Eastern Ontario, I believe. I've only been into one of their gas bars and they had no oil at all. I went to the Stinson depot/HQ here in Ottawa to get my case of GT-1 Full Syn.
