Kendal Super 3 star 80W140?

Anyone have any experience with this gear oil?
I'm considering putting it in the front axle of my tractor. I'm a bit worried about just running GL-4 rated tractor fluid as its in 4wd alot and obviously its all high high load and low speed running and the oil is darkening up after 50 hrs.
I kept the initial fill in for 50hrs and it was fairly dark but no chunks or shavings, now the second run of GL-4 tractor fluid is supposed to go to 400hrs but even after 50hrs the oil is darkening up.
The kendal 80w140 is GL-5 rated and MT-1 as well so I don't think there's any way I can hurt anything in the front axle with this oil.
I guess my question boils down too, is a synthetic GL-5 oil going to be far better than a dino GL-4 oil in low speed, high load situations?

What does the manual call for? GL-5 isn't better than GL-4. It's simply a different specification. And, unless it's a dual rated GL-4/GL-5 oil, I'd be worried about a GL-5 oil in a GL-4 application.

YES!

GL-5 has additives to reduce wear on the sliding of hypoid gear teeth. The older additives to achieve this damaged yellow metals...copper, brass, bronze. The newer additives don't do this and have the dual GL-4 & GL-5 listing.

There isn't any hypoid gears, but all spiral bevel gears. I thought the MT-1 spec covered yellow metals but I read this fluid is only recommended for manual transmissions without synchros.
There are some load bearing bushings so I suppose they could be some kind of yellow metal. The manual just says SAE90 gear oil or the transmission fluid, no specs.
I can find some canadian tire 75W90 Semi Synthetic with the GL-4 and GL-5 and MT-1 specs, but I'd rather use a name brand. I guess I will keep on looking.

What about Amsoil Severe Gear (SVG) 75w-90? It's dual-rated GL-4/GL-5. Or, there's Amsoil's Synthetic Manual Transmission and Transaxle Gear Lube (MTG) 75w-90. That's GL-4.

I used this product for years until I switched to Kendall SHP synthetic. It will do just fine in a differential - there aren't synchros in an axle. AFA high load goes: is 160,000 lbs load enough?

We ran 50 wt. in transmissions where the range shift is synchronized.
