I've used a lot of ultras just never on my truck since I have a stock pile of baldwins but I can say it's the only fram I would use

I'm confused, are you saying that no OCOD will touch your engine as your thread title indicates?

OR

Are you say ALL Fram filters will not touch your engine. And by "All" Fram filters would that include Champ Labs (whom Fram owns) who make M1, RP, and Amsoil EA filters?

If you could elaborate on what you mean and why you won't used them (preferably backed up with real evidence) then this thread might not be a total waste of cyberspace.

The only Fram worth a darn is the ultra. What makes it the flagship filter? Oh yes, I remember, the media and METAL end caps. It is no coincedence that their top model has metal end caps.

And there are many other quality filters that are not "expensive" and dont happen to be made by Fram...

Those cardboard end caps are a lot more durable than another manufacturers filter media.
