Did s search for these filters and no hits. I find that funny. But am looking for a good filter for my '11 Camry that has the cartridge type and found some on ebay for $5.88 with free shipping.

Are these any good?

Not sure who makes them now. They used to be made for K&N by Champion Labs but now they're made offshore. Their spec includes that odd welded-on fitting for a 1" wrench.

Does K&N even make any cartridge filters?

If it's a cartridge filter then I wouldn't bother.

Also - one of the criticisms of anything sold by K&N is that they're mostly about performance and not necessarily about protection. I thought there was a lot of talk about K&N oil filters being relatively low efficiency in order to avoid oil starvation.

No good brand name oil filter will "starve" and engine of oil. This whole "Brand ABC" oil filter is restrictive to flow is all out of control internet hype. An engine is 15 times more restrictive to oil flow than a normal oil filter is.

Tell me if you think this PureOne is "restrictive" or not.
