They appear to be solidly made. Say they have metal end caps. Have synthetic media. Have a bolt on the end for easy removal.

Any thoughts on these?

bosch or pure one are just as good, and only cost half as much. the air filter is a lot more important that the oil filter. even supertech at wallymart is a good oil filter.

Ford Expedition, 5.4L, I think 9,000Km on the oil? M1 5w30.

Has a PureONE with Amsoil ASL 5w30 in it now.

It was switched to M1 as soon as it was no longer getting the free dealership changes, which IIRC, ended when the factory warranty did.

There has been speculation that the K&N filter is the same as Mobil 1, with the exception that it has a nut on the can like an aircraft filter. Is there any insight about whether, or not the media is the same? Autozone is running a $29.99 sale for 5 Qt.s of PP and a K&N filter (up to $14.99 value). I've been using PP and M1 filters exclusively with geat results in my Tacoma.
