My synopsis..
Not overly thrilled but a nice serviceable filter.
I was hoping for more though. The can is nowhere as thick as the old Silver Select. Glue is sloppy and it can't compare to the old WB Ultra.

K&N select SO-2006 C&P

1999 ford ranger with a 5.3l LM7 from a suburban. when we swapped it 2 years ago the donor had 245k miles on it. in service 3100 miles with a pre runner race weekend on it/ 20 minutes at 2k rpm with BG EPR. out/off: BG EPR, 6 quarts Valvoline max life blend 5w-30 with K&N select SO-2006...

Looks sturdy enough, I’d run it. As you are aware, very few filters are living up to the standards of even 5 years ago.

It's fine and the can is thicker than MC. But I am a bit disappointed.
I'm not a louver fan but these are very nice.
In my mind it doesn't offer me what I was after. It's a 10k filter in my eyes and based solely on my own thoughts of what I see.
No proof otherwise

They are really crisp and plentiful. One picture can't show it all but it has the most louvers combined I have ever seen. None of those half opened ones either.

The can was perfectly round with no wobble and the baseplate gasket was well seated and very hard to remove and was well proud of the baseplate. Well executed.

Yeah but I don't know why but I was hoping for a little more. A bit disappointing. A reduction in glue might bring me around

Just saw they are $11 on Amazon. I'd probably pick a PureOne over it or spend a bit more and get the Boss or Fram Endurance.
