Remember those two protesters that threw tomato soup on the van Gogh painting before gluing themselves to the wall? They're probably very thankful that the soup only damaged the frame and not the painting itself, as those knuckleheads just got sentenced to two years and 20 months respectively. The extra several months that knucklehead #1 got was for blockading the road.

Good point. It's not really about oil, they hate the 8.2 billion sparks of humanity in the world that they see as destroying Moma Gaia. Humanity values van Gogh paintings so they are attacking everyone, everywhere (including themselves) by damaging something they all love.
