Man, that was fast shipping!! Anyway, I swear that stuff smells like acetone. I opened the cap and gave the stuff a big whiff and WHEWEEE!!, my nose hairs were singed. Out of curiosity, what solvent is used in FP?
good point on the location, Plus the fact that i gave you the wrong adress might have had somthing to do with the delayed shipping. haha my fault but i PMed you the right adress.
sorry for the confusion
I'm pretty certain that there is acetone in there. I had my wife smell the stuff and she stated that it smelled like her fingernail polish remover, which is acetone. You know what's funny....I saw a thread that talked about putting acetone in your fuel tank to increase MPG and I thought the people were crazy to even think about putting something so harsh in the tank
. So, what do I do....I go and buy FP which apparently has acetone in it and I'm planning on putting it in my tank. If it weren't recommended so highly I might think twice about it.
I don't think it's simply acetone....that does the work. Maybe a ketone, such as di-acetone....but it doesn't evaporate fast enough to be mostly acetone.
I was on the phone the other day with Odis, the maker of the Fuel Power and Acetone products. Per our conversation, you can be pretty sure that there is NO Acetone in FP60.
1) Why would he tell you what is in it?
2) Maybe its DI-Acetone, or Methyl ethyl ketone(MEK), or some other ketone, as Pablo said. They all seem to be rather bad for you.
I just wonder how they are shipping this thru DHL when the Schaefers rep couldn't ship Neutra without special fees. Maybe we're way off on the smell.
