Just finished 2nd Auto-Rx treatment (Pic included)

I just finished my second treatment of Auto-Rx and pulled the valve cover off. When I pulled the cover off, I was amazed by how clean everything looked.

The car is a 1994 Acura Integra LS, with a 1.8L DOHC engine. The car has 147,000 miles on it, and I bought it used at 90K miles. It my commuter car, and I put about 90 miles on it everyday, through the horrible Bay Area traffic.

In general, I've noticed an increased fuel efficiency of about 3 mpg, and I also feel less of a hesitation. I just want to say that I am definitely a believer in Auto-Rx and will be using them on other vehicles in my family.

I took an oil sample before Auto-Rx and will be taking one soon. I plan on getting a UOA on both samples and see the differences.

Unfortuntley, no. I had the valve cover off this time because I was changing my cam seal and valve gasket.

Wow! That is a clean engine. I am a great believer also and plan regular treatments on all my cars. My only question is how often to clean my engines. I was thinking every 75,000 but I believe the build up happens sooner than that. Maybe every 50,000 seems about right to me.

Very clean! Do you know what motor oil the previous owner used? What motor oil have you been using since you purchased the car?

I don't know what oil the previous owner used. To be honest,I use whatever oil that is on sale at Kragen. In the past I've used Penzoil, Quaker State, Castrol GTX, etc.

It's pictures like this that make me want to buy a case of ARX. I want my valvetrain to be sparkly fresh like that.

But you have a nice clean engine bay anyway. Those headers look like they were just attached!
