Just bought a Husqvarna lawn tractor

It's not even delivered yet and I'm already thinking about what oil to use.

I have plenty of Delvac 15w40 on hand. Do you guys think I should just use it? Btw, engine is a Kohler Courage 21hp.

Shell Rotella 5W-40, or GC. Delvac should work well too but the first two are my recommendations.

It may call for 10w30 or 30 wt.

My 20 hp Kohler Courage V-Twin calls for 10w30. I use GC,or Valvoline VR-1. (the blue colored stuff)

That Delvac or any HDEO 15w40 would be my choice for a hot Alabama summer for sure. Kohler will spec 10w30, as they do for most of their OPE engines. 10w30 is a good blanket spec that will cover all conditions for the warranty period.
