I have a 1998 Chevrolet S10 pickup with almost 95K miles and I have ran syn. in the truck since I got it @ 80K with around 3K OCI to clean it up I was wondering if switching it to Valvoline Premium Conventional 5w30 would be a good choice I always use a AC Delco PF47 oil filter

a 98 should take a PF52... at least mine does. Is yours a 4cyl?

I think it would be fine, but I have to ask why...

The PF47 and PF52 are interchangeable if you have the room. My mom's 3.1 recommends the PF47 but I always use the PF52 instead. Conventional Valvoline would work just fine, how long do you plan on running it?
