Unless Warren and Wal-Mart's other blenders for Supertech have bag in the box products, it might require significant retooling to offer something comparable to these smart change boxes.

Call me cynical, but I don't see this aggressive price point on Havoline lasting forever.

I bet some good money that Warren Distribution has plenty of ability to make bags of oil in a 6 qt size. I also bet WD makes 6 gallon bag oils for shops in a pit pack set up... It would be very easy for then to make a six qt bag size.

I also bet this $19.97 price is the regular price of Chevron Havoline Pro DS going forward. Just like it seems Quaker State Ultimate Durability has been $19.97 for a long time now.

It will probably be a while before I use it but I joined this club as well. Grabbed two boxes (it's weird saying boxes) of 0w20 FS.

Yeah I agree... Strange saying boxes of oil

I might just switch both cars over to the full synthetic version of this... how's it hold up under mostly short trips (~10 miles at a time)?

But for real... just looked, 6qts of full syn for $20?! Sign me up!

In many/most places, used oil jugs/bottles are NOT accepted for recycling. I once thought they were, then read closer and realized my service said they go in the trash.

At the auto parts store I work at we have to drain them for a minimum of 24 hours then they go in the trash

Yes but lots of trash these days is getting incinerated to co-phase generate electricity not just going into the ground like it used to.

I do this

So you'd have a free oil change every 4 changes or so depending on if your car takes 4 quarts or 5+.

BTW, my two cars are 5w20 and 0w20 so I'm not combining crazy differences in viscosity.

I did that in my lawn tractor one time , I usually run for 50 hours per oci that time I did 25 hours and I was glad I did because when I changed it it was a frothy mix did not look good.

Just because the jug says it is recyclable does not mean your local hauler will accept it's such. My guess is that it is not. Most areas do not take oil jugs.

I see the recycle dumpsters out every other week here filled with stuff that is not on the approved list. Our hauler does not have sorters so the entire load goes to landfill.

Al Gore says we only have 12 years left anyway .

As a conservationist, I applaud the ability to recycle the packaging material of the Havoline Pro DS 6 quart box. As a certified tight wad, I applaud paying $3.33 per quart for a quality name brand FS oil.

Does this have the mopar MS-6395 cert? If so may need to switch to the full synth version on my 6qrt needing jeep. Especially at this price

me too, pro ds 5w30 in the fusion 2.5, takes 6qts and is a perfect fit for this routine every 5k, costs less than 25 bucks with filter. When do I get my member patch.

I'm ordering some for the 300 since none of my local Walmart's have any. 4-5k on a change with this stuff, 9 months to a year, should work nicely!
