Yesterday was oil change day. Out with the FAR Quaker State Ultimate Durability 5w30 at 6 months/7100 miles. In with FAR G-Oil.

Seems smooth as a fresh oil change makes it. Same classic Subaru tick I have with any oil other than Pennzoil SN and Formula Shell SM (guessing the higher Moly amounts?).

Probably running it about 7k miles or so. Have another FAR jug of both Quaker State Ultimate Durability and G-Oil after this, so I'm set for a while.

I ran G-Oil for one OCI in both cars in my sig. I did not notice any difference in startup noise, mileage etc. Ran it 6 months in both cars.

I'm currently running it in both of our vehicles. The Saturn has had it in there since November, for just under 6K miles so far. I'll probably run it to around 7K. The Nissan is on its second fill of the stuff. I ran the first fill for 6K and will do the same with this one, getting a used oil analysis at the end of it. And I've got 7 more FAR jugs out in the garage cabinets.

I have been impressed with G-Oil used oil analysis. It often has high shear and low TBN retention, but usually very low wear numbers. Once I run out of my FAR Valvoline NextGen and G-Oil, I might continue using G-oil at least in one car. I don't drive a lot, so the oil will not need to be used more often than 6,000 miles between changes.
