...........From a JD L110 lawn mower. Replaced this filter with a Denso as seen in 3rd and 4th picture.

Looks good, definitely a Champ labs filter. Nice to see it has a silicone ADBV. There is nothing wrong with the Deere filters, they just aren't a bargain. The local dealer has them for $17-18. Ironically their John Deere oil is well priced.

Champ Labs made with odd clicker type bypass. Wouldn't pay extra for the JD name, but same goes for any dedicated OPE filter. Automotive application pretty much without exception cost less and that with silicone adbv too. Without seeing full Denso #, thinking perhaps 3614 equivalent, just need a bit more space.

Exactly, will use a much higher quality filter. going to service it soon and another John Deer 4x4 my mom uses, now to dig through manuals for differentials, transfer cases etc. I have some oddball quarts of 5w50, 20w50, some actual john deer 10w30 that needs use.

This filter is in use and was used many other seasons for the B&S 22 H.P. Twin cylinder of the D130 . 510+ hours . Change oil filter late fall and usually use it few times before storage . I think it's the 130 is 12 years old since new . All oil is synthetic , mostly 5w-30 .
