He's a Great driver but I was hoping Kyle Larson would win.

Was the caution before the Edwards crash really necessary? Really?

Don't watch Nascar much but was disappointed for Edwards and in the race finish. My .02

It indeed was not necessesary.

NASCAR is a series where they award points to the first kit car/billboard across the finish line with a sliding scale for the rest.

The do a lot of promotional stuff and every now and then they take a break and race.

NASCAR is just about sterilized as it can be.

So you don't like it, but you still sit around mindlessly watching it and then get online to complain about it. Brilliant.

I am really happy for Jimmie, he is definitely one of the greatest ever. Have to admit I was really choked up knowing this was Tony Stewart's last race. I thought it was awesome Jimmie gave Smoke his helmet, I missed who Tony gave his helmet to.

Also, Carl Edwards is a true class act. I hope he wins a Cup one of these years.

The Xfinity championship was awesome as well. Suarez is a deserving champion. My heart ached for Darrell Wallace Jr the week before, if I owned a team I would hire him in a heartbeat.

Try to think things through a little. NASCAR is a business owned by the France family, it owns the name, the organization, the rules, the series, everything. Also 12 tracks that hold 19 of the races. Don't like, don't watch. I quit years ago.

NASCAR is a huge corporation.

Exactly why they should not be a sanctioning body. Sanctioning bodies should be not for profit, and engaged in good ethics in their sport field. NASCAR is indeed the worse. The least a sanctioning body can do is provide insurance to the events that run with it.

That is, literally, the least they can do, and it is the bottom of the stick against which any value should be measured. For while the sanctioning body does hold authority about certain aspects of how the event must operate, at the end of the day the racers and the event organizers are customers that must be treated well.

There are two predominate views, one where the sanctioning body is The Man, clamping down on all the crazy stuff you want to do and ruining your fun, and another where the sanctioning body is Your Favorite Boss, giving you a company truck and a company cell phone to get all your work done which makes your life much easier.

Nascar has morphed into the latter, no such thing as "real racing" anymore, it is all smoke and mirrors, as the "Favorite Boss" dictates. I refuse to call that abomination of a corporation anything but, rigged.
