Jeep Wrangler 4xe Recall

As some of you probably know, the Wrangler 4xe and Grand Cherokee 4xe are subject to a recall (68C) involving possible defects in the Samsung hybrid battery. Jeep has extended the warranty on the battery so I’m not losing any sleep over it but the recall determines if the battery requires replacement. In addition there is another recall (21D) on the Wrangler involving a possible issue with an electrical connection on the eps. In any case, more than a few dealers have made the recall procedures into a huge ordeal for the owners. Fortunately my dealer handles recalls correctly.
My Jeep dealer called today and advised that I was next in line for the 68C and 21D recalls. No issues with renting a car and then getting reimbursed -like far too many dealers required- instead, I was given a 2026 Sahara with just about every option my 2021 Sahara has. It also had the Sky One-Touch power roof which is noisy and something we would never use. Ditto for the power seats- on a Wrangler?

As an aside, we had ignored all of the chicken little warnings and parked our 4xe inside and we continued to charge it. A few knowledgeable people we talked with believe that the battery issues were caused in large part by T*mu quality chargers. As for the power steering fire recall it seems that .0009% of JL/JLU Wranglers actually had a problem. Very few dealers have encountered it. So we lived on the ragged edge.
Assuming the battery passes the tests we should get it back in a few days. More news as it develops.

Co-Worker just bought a used '24 at the beginning of April, to replace a 2020 or so Kia that started burning a "significant" amount of oil.
shortly thereafter the recall came out... luckily for her, the local dealer she got it from gives a "free" "lifetime" powertrain warranty.

My recently acquired '24 Wrangler goes in for the EHPSP (Electric Hydraulic Power Steering Pump) recall inspection Friday at 11. The local dealer is making a minor big deal of it, says it requires at least 2 hours. No rentals, they have a shuttle to take you somewhere. I've seen the Stellantis doc and the procedure is to first look for a code, if no code take the air snorkel off of the air cleaner to see and confirm that the electrical connector is fully inserted and the CPA (Connector Position Assurance)... the red locking tab.. is engaged. Done. They aren't doing recall appointments at the service writers, the cashiers in the service dept are making appointments. They haven't found a bad one yet and have done a bunch, when I was there making the appointment all 3 cashiers were on the phone making recall appointments.

I checked the connectors from underneath and they're fully seated but need to get the recall cleared so it goes in.

Jeep isn't the only one with recalls recently.

I believe the Stellantis document states that the process takes .3 hours.
The recalls haven't bothered me, but then my dealer has an excellent service department.
