Saw one of these babies on a job site and had to have one.
It's just big enough to go through a 2x4 and super handy and easy to move around with one hand.

It has a killer feature - the side of the guard comes off so It can get right up to a wall for flooring removal- normally I'd have to follow the wall with a multi tool which takes hours. I dont do this a lot for sure, but when you need this trick this lil guy is indepsensible.

I'll take better picts when I get it back home.

2 more mm they could call it 5”! Do you just use 5” blades?

Very nice. That saw looks rugged

I have the Milwaukee 12V 5 3/8” circular saw. Super lightweight and handy.

I also have the DeWalt 20V cordless on both sides of 5”, 4.5” , 6.5” and 7.25”. hardly use my plug in circular saws!

I know right - the sizing is just a bit hilarious, and it's going to make sourcing blades a bunch harder.
On that milwaukee - Im curious how many RPM is that ?

This is like my 5th circular.
I may have too many saws. A sequence of words I thought Id never actually utter, especially when as a kid I was dead broke and longed for the money for one.

That said this may just have become my favorite saw overnight.

What a sweetheart of a piece - 80+% of everything I do is sheet goods, or 2x4's or a shallower like deck boards, and this covers both with one hand ease.

It's a little screamer. It really sings and made me giggle.
It's a two speed saw - 6K. for speed work and 4500 for finish work.
The base is shiny almost mirror finish.
The guard removal trick is cool and bi directional table.

I didnt even think that the charger may not work and technically it looks like it shouldn't - but I charged a massive 8AH battery on it yesterday mindlessly, but it didnt fail - it did notably have a bit higher pitch fan speed wise compared to my two other changers. (one fast one slow)

Big thanks to ANA for the thoroughly professional job they did working with me to get it back.
They requested I hand carry the 2 batts in the kit and fragile checked the rest in the oversize area - and it showed up on the conveyer protected inside a tote in great shape obviously handled with care.

I got a shot of Mt Fuji Sunday morning as I headed home.

I wonder why they made it an XGT? Seems like 18v would be more than adequate for the types of cuts you'd be making.

My favorite oddball Makita saw is the CXT 3 3/8" circular saw. Super handy for cutting things up to about 1".

I actually tried to get the LXT saw, but they were out.
I brought the guy over and we waved our hands around a bit and he pointed out there were no paper slips in the LXT floor paper order holder/ price tag indicating they had no stock.

I wanted a small ight saw, and I knew that my smallest XGT battery would be heavy, but to my delight this kit contained 2x 2.5 AH XGT's they are pretty close to a 5ah LXT so I'm all set.

I ended up paying 450USD, for the saw w/a 35 tooth blade, the case, a charger, and 2- 2.5's.

No that Id do a bunch of it, but the xgt will be stouter on a long rip.
