A simple test to know if a person is an Italian living in North America, or a North American of Italian descent.

Do you always take vacation/ holiday from August 1st through August 31st?

Unless every year you take off from August 1st through August 31st, you might be of Italian descent, but you are likely a Canadian.

Interesting theory. My numerous aunts, uncles and parents all immigrated to Canada in the 50s. That's one "tradition" that never made it across the Atlantic.
Another interesting thing is that they are/were proud of their heritage, but when at a social event at their local Italian club, Canadian anthem was always played first. Something alot of new comers could learn from.
