Italian design + German Engineering = Audi R8

Although I love Audi technology, I have never been a fan of their supercar styling. I am sure the R8 is awesome tech-wise. However,, on the outside, it looks like a Nissan beat Audi to the punch, it looks like a glorified Z.

My all time favorite wagon is the A3 with the dual clutch transmission...Versitile, sporty, precise. All they need is to throw in AWD and it will be perfect.

I'd like it a lot better if they'd ditch the different color on the panel behind the door. I don't know what that's supposed to accomplish besides ruining the lines of the car.

I wonder if they did that to further seperate it from the new TT and the A5. From some angles it is hard to tell those apart, at least as it is driving buy.

ever since they made front grills that went all the way down through the front bumper, Audis have been getting uglier, IMO. (all A-series)
The previous versions had very nice and clean noses.
and I agree: it does look like a slightly crazier version of the Z.

I happen to love the looks of the R8. I think I'll trade in my GTI for one.

You can purchase it body color. I have read that when the car is moving quickly the different color panel reminds people of a shark fin.
