Anyone else have htis problem? when i type beyond the length of the little box int he replies, i can't see what i am typing anymore, i.e. the box doesn't scroll down any more. plus, it jumps erratically back and forth.

i couldn't post on "board issues" so i posted here.

browser is IE8 and OS W7.

I hate short hand. Great for notes, terrible for trying to get your points across, and usually requires clarification.

I've noticed recently that it's jumping back up to the top line after I've exceeded the full reply screen, too. It happened each time I quoted some one recently - I'd scroll down to type, and after each key stroke it would jump back up to the first line. I copied and pasted the and replied in the quick reply screen, which seems to work just fine.

I've noticed the same thing on a couple of different forums. When I have a post that might exceed the size of the reply box I just type it into Word, and then copy and paste it into the reply box.

No problems for me ..not really. Whenever I use the pull downs, the text box cycles up to the top for viewing, but the cursor is usually in the right spot.

Try using this

on the right there. It allegedly makes the text box bigger.

life is short. long posts get skipped over (especially over 8 sentences) especially if it's the same spew over and over

I been having the same problem for the past couple of days, and only on this forum. Apparently they have a problem - glad it's not just my computer!

I experienced it once before, only on this site. You could just type your post on Word and copy and paste it onto the reply screen. Another benefit of doing it that way is if your internet gets screwed up when you hit "submit" you won't have to re-type the whole lengthy post. Learned that the hard way.

I just noticed that for the first time a few minutes ago. Weird. It's almost like being back in typing class with the typewriters that had all their keys blank.

IE8's text window is broken. It's the sort of thing that I would have expected to be fixed within a few days but the jumpy editor problem has lingered for months.

The text window in Firefox works correctly in all versions.
