Just as mikemc stated, I use synthetic in the winter and conventional in the summer.

i know a lot of quick lube places tell you this to sell you synthetic and to keep on selling your synthetic.

Ahhhhhh, this thread title brings back to memory my favorite scene from that 1980s classic, Ghostbusters. As the film nears conclusion, all the players are assembled in the Mayor's office. The Mayor asks the question, "is this true?" (referring of course, to the ghosts). The Bill Murray character responds, straight-faced, and now referring to his hot-headed, red-haired EPA nemesis, "yes it's true, this man has no . . .
