Is this noise the alternator?

This isn't my video, but the problem I'm having in a '95 Corolla sounds identical. I'll try to post a video of my actual car later. For now can you guys tell my what this noise sounds like to you? Thanks.

Hard to tell from that, but it could be alternator noise.

I'll take it that you've already isolated it to a rotating accessory by removing the belt? There are different alternator noises. I've heard the front big bearing noise and I've heard unusual (sometimes very unusual) alternator whine.

I can't download U Tube, but try taking the belt off and spinning various components by hand to check for slop and noise.

Just to update, it wasn't the alternator, it was the water pump. Thanks for idea about disconnecting stuff to isolate the problem.

Thw water pump should be replaced with any timing belt change. Was this done in the past? Did it not last till the next timing belt change?
