It must be at least 10 years old now so I got my monies worth out of it but is there anything I can try to fix it?

The ink cartridges have plenty of ink and the print heads were replaced whenever I got the warning to replace them. I did the cleaning and aligning of the print heads too.

I'm guessing the black/yellow printhead is dirty or bad, you could replace that printhead, there's a tool for cleaning 88/940 printheads. If you do want to get a new printer, don't buy anything HP that's new, they've gotten much worse in terms of reliability.

just get a brother laser printer!! on the forum suggestion i got a simple B+W brother laser from Wallys + cant believe how FAST it us, my recently departed Canon all in one would only be "warming up" while the brother printed several great copies on the cheep!!
