Is this a PAO based synthetic?

I'm looking at the MSDS of the 5W-40 I'm running in my Montero. The breakdown is as follows:

- Lubricating oils (petroleum), C20-50, hydro-treated neutral oil-based: 50-75%

- Polyolefin polyamine succinimide, polyol:
- Phosphorodithioic acid, O,O-di-C1-14-alkyl esters, zinc salts: 1-2.5%

- Phenol, 2,2'-polythiobis[4-C8-30-alkyl derivs., calcium salts, overbased:
To my understanding, polyolefin polyamine succinimide is a friction reducing anti-wear additive, whilst the alkyl ester is ZDDP. But what is phenol? Considering polyolefin polyamine succinimide is mentioned, I take it this is a Group III based lubricant?

Just had a look at the German PDS where "Synthesetechnologie" or "Synthetic technology" is used to describe the product, so I suppose it is a Group III afterall.

Can someone please explain what phenol is though? Thanks!

Without the cas #, looks like a group II/IV blend at best, but most likely a "conventional". Really though, "Conventional" doesn't exist anymore since most ilsac lubricants employ higher group hydrotreated base stocks. What's the VI and NOACK?

Viscosity Index is 176, although there's no mentioning of NOACK. That said, the CAS numbers are:

- Lubricating oils (petroleum), C20-50, hydro-treated neutral oil-based: 72623-87-1

- Phosphorodithioic acid, O,O-di-C1-14-alkyl esters, zinc salts: 68649-42-3

- Phenol, 2,2'-polythiobis[4-C8-30-alkyl derivs., calcium salts, overbased: 90480-91-4

The labeling also just says "Synthetic" as opposed to "Full or Fully Synthetic".
