Is this '55 chevy 210 worth anything over scrap value ?

The pics don't show the floorboards real well, but going from the rest of the pics, it likely isn't bad underneath. I'm not sure it's worth $10k as-is--but if you told me you sold it for that much, I wouldn't blink.

NO scrapping that one. Just from the images, that would be a perfect candidate for a restoration; all the parts are there and it's straight.

A co-worker started with a similar '56 Belair; 4-door sedan, 265 V8, three speed w/overdrive. Turned it into a show winner.

DONT SCRAP. i driven 57 was worse in several places. By the look of it, someone could actually have it running in a few weekends. No kidding this is at least a 10k car. Running it’s approaching 15. These are absolutely precious, the tri-5s.

There are a few guys working on a 4-door '57 Chevy here. Maybe there are some ideas that you can consider.

Every part is available new. It's worth quite a bit even being a 4 door.. assuming it does not need any thing major like a frame I'd ask $5k at least.
True. Every part is available but they are offshore made junk. The front clip alone will bring a hefty sum for folks restoring a car and avoiding the offshore stuff. It will sale quickly.

It will buff out. Yes, it’s worth money, even though it’s a four door.

I have owned worse and used them as daily drivers. Most tri 5 Chevys bore me as they all have been butchered in one way or another. That one is truly special having the original 6. Wash it up, service the mechanicals and drive it.
I have never driven one, but if I had the storage for it, that is what I would want to do. So many of them got hot rodded—which is fine—but I would just be happy with a piece of history. For a few decades it was normal to drive something with a three on the tree, I6, and zero to 60 of like never.

vice grip garage would get it going and drive it 700 miles home (without brakes of course).
and have it shine juiced up... with some decent tires.

A guy should be pretty hacked off about that T Type wheel though....

Seriously if you don't want to mess with the thing shoot him an email, you never know he might make it famous...

Certainly not scrap.

I'd clean it up nice inside and out, get it running, and keep it forever as-is (6-cyl., 4-door, 3-speed). Or restore it but still keep it as-is. There's nothing wrong having with a 100% stock car even when it's a lower trim level or base model engine.

It's now in the back of my mind to keep it and have the paint and body repaired. Some door skins will be needed.

Other things i can do myself such as interior. Except for painting the metal dash to match.

It would require the front brakes to be changed to disk and the master cylinder to be changed from single circuit to a 2 or 4 line set up.

I don't think anyone can go wrong with a tri-5 Chevy. All.50s cars are Americana rolling art.

Ask me how I know.....

The drum brakes are really ok if everything is in order, and they are in adjustment. I would consider the dual circuit master cylinder.

The auto-adjusters from the later cars can be retrofitted fairly easily, although it's not a bad chore to manually adjust every 3-4k miles. Gives an opportunity to inspect things, check & adjust wheel bearings, and grease the front end.
