From what I've seen certain model four-doors are gaining popularity as most were junked years ago.Would someone frame off a 4 door?
You are sitting on a silver mine and you don't know it
True. Every part is available but they are offshore made junk. The front clip alone will bring a hefty sum for folks restoring a car and avoiding the offshore stuff. It will sale quickly.Every part is available new. It's worth quite a bit even being a 4 door.. assuming it does not need any thing major like a frame I'd ask $5k at least.

I have never driven one, but if I had the storage for it, that is what I would want to do. So many of them got hot rodded—which is fine—but I would just be happy with a piece of history. For a few decades it was normal to drive something with a three on the tree, I6, and zero to 60 of like never.I have owned worse and used them as daily drivers. Most tri 5 Chevys bore me as they all have been butchered in one way or another. That one is truly special having the original 6. Wash it up, service the mechanicals and drive it.
and have it shine juiced up... with some decent tires.vice grip garage would get it going and drive it 700 miles home (without brakes of course).
The drum brakes are really ok if everything is in order, and they are in adjustment. I would consider the dual circuit master cylinder. It's now in the back of my mind to keep it and have the paint and body repaired. Some door skins will be needed.
Other things i can do myself such as interior. Except for painting the metal dash to match.
It would require the front brakes to be changed to disk and the master cylinder to be changed from single circuit to a 2 or 4 line set up.
