Is there an easy way to remove ⅚ quart oil from engine?

I know from past experience that my Buick 3800 uses/loses motor oil until it's ⅓ quart below Full mark. Then no more oil use/loss.

So at OCI time I prefer to only add oil until it's ⅓ below Full mark.

At recent OCI someons overfilled it to ½ quart above Full mark.

Is there an easy, convenient way to remove ⅚ of a quart? If I have to pull drain plug briefly, I will, but hoping for an easier way.

Replace the oil filter. It should hold about that much.

Get you something like the DURATECH 500CC Fluid Extractor sold on amazon.

Myself, I would just loosen the drain plug to the point of a rapid dribble and tighten when the desired oil comes out. I don't believe in buying something or sacrifice an oil filter to accomplish something so easy.

I agree. A half quart over isn’t a problem with this engine
