May 5, 2025 #7 Actually, LSJ pointed out that one of the additives that settles out of old oil and no longer works is for not foaming up. A sump full of bubbles is not a good oil, even for an outdoor air cooled engine. I would use it for chain lube of a chainsaw, and nothing else.

They are just for viewing pleasure. The chevron supreme 10w-40 pictured would be fine in an old lawnmower engine, or as bar and chain oil. Not good to use in a car engine.
