Is it okay to drive with 1 missing bolt

5 Bolt Wheel
I have a bolt on order....4 bolts are in torqued to factory spec.
Is it okay to drive with 1 bolt missing until my missing bolt arrives ?

It's not something I can easily pick up due to custom wheels (very specific bolt head size, etc)

Ive seen customers cars roll into the shop with only 2 lugnuts on a wheel.

Let me put it this way:

NASCAR vehicles have made laps at full speed with less than their 5 lug nuts at 180+. I wouldn't get horribly worried until you lose over 1/3rd of them, but I would avoid testing the situation out as well and get the problem fixed asap.

You'll be fine if they are torqued correctly!

You'll be fine. My olds had one missing for 8 years on the back.

I once drove my old tercel with 3 lug nuts (out of 4) for several hundred miles after a stud snapped off. I don't know if that was smart, but nothing bad happened.

According to GM, having one loose (or for you, missing) lug nut can cause up to 0.003" of lateral runout. That is more than what many cars allow.

So for me, yes, but it better be temporary. Or else you may be causing unneeded wear to your rotors.

Thanks Critic. I was looking for the ~factual~ info. And yes, I do care about my #$$$@#$@# Brembo's.

Just did a brake pad change this fall and pads ran me $700+ alone.

Wow, what make of pads where they? Thats expensive.
