is it ok to mix synthetic with dino

my friend currently running synthetic, and he wnats to add conventional oil in. hes cars burn oil and hes sick of wasting money on synthetic. he wnats to know if anyone knows of or heard of any adverse affect?

Read the label on the oil your friend uses .

Mixing synthetic with dino is fine. It will not be a problem.

Some Syn oils will smoke less than a Dino oil. But if its a oil burner I would just run a cheap oil that is rated real well like Cheveron Supreme or Halvoline. He can mix the two till the next oil change and then go to full Dino if he wants to save the bucks toward a rebuild on that oil abusier. DaveJ

Why it burns oil would determine what oil I would put in it. But there would not be a problem topping off with dino.
