"I wish Chevron had a H/M oil"

I thought someone here said they do now. Maybe do a search?

Chevron products are scarce in these parts so I've never seen it ... just like I've never seen their 5W20, their gear oils, etc ...

Last night, I plucked the last sticky quart of Chevron Supreme 5W30 off the shelf of an outlying Walmart to round out the 4 quarts I found a month ago in a different store.

Sort of along the same lines as the once-you-use-synthetic-you-can-never-go-back discussion, but once you use a HM oil that has "seal swellers," if they do in fact swell the seals, will the seals stay sufficiently swelled if you later use a non-HM oil, either a Group II or even a PAO?

doyall, just as in the case of the once-you-use-synthetic-you-can't-go-back myth, the seal swellers (esters) in these oils are mild. expect a mild drop in consumption or leaking ... and if discontinued, I'd expect you'd see the oil consumption and/or leaking resume in 2-3 oil changes afterwards.
