It seems that the ceramics have taken over the market. They are easier to use, last as long if not longer, and look as good wax, or very close.
I might be one of the last holdouts using wax. Ok, I have to admit that some of my cars have only seen ceramics their entire lives but some cars
are only getting waxed because it's a fun thing to do.

I'm a wax guy because I feel as if that 0.00001mil thickness of wax actually protects the paint from debris and sand. I'm probably full of it, but that's what I believe.

Nice collection! That is a lot of wax though. How often do you typically apply on a daily driver?

Still use waxes on certain cars/colors. Usually wax on darker colors and sealant on lighter.

I did my son's car last week, he left at my place while on vac and I used wax P21S , I think it turned out pretty good considerig the heat and my age.
Its a 2018 with 90,000miles

I use Griots "best in show" wax when I want a really nice deep shine. I believe it contains Carnauba wax and some gloss enhancers. Seems to last a month or so. Not as good overall as Griots 3 in 1 ceramic, but a deeper initial shine.

Just last weekend I detailed the Tundra. After I used the orbital buffer with compound. Put a coat of Chemical Guys sealant down then Collonite 476 followed by Collonite 845 the day after. Just ordered another bottle of Collonite 845.

I stopped using any kind of wipe on buff off products many years ago because I hate the white chalky residue that gets left in all of the nooks and crannies. Plus the action of buffing something off will introduce micro marring of the finish over time. For me the wipe on walk away type of products have changed the detailing game. Much faster to use and better protection from the elements. You do lose a bit of the shine compared with a true carnuba wax though.

I use Zymol on tar. Put a dab on the tar and wait 10 to 15 minutes. The tar comes off very easily.

This is how I roll with my 3 cars ( their nothing special, no garage queens ). 1st : Prep Solv the paint to get the garbage out of it......2nd : Hit it with Adams Ceramic Coating, buff it off.....3rd Hit it with Jescar's Power Lock Plus .......4th Hit it with Collinite 845. It's quite the process, my washing machine doesn't like all the microfiber towels being washed over and over. But, in the end, they all look good and well protected from UV and salt. Clean the washing machine with " Affresh" tablets. That shuts that up. Then maintenance during the year, like every 8 months, I'll do the Jescar and Collinite again to save the ceramic underneath. Then back to the crying washing machine again,,,LOL :) If I kill the washing machine, the wife kills me...very simple :) That stuff gums up the machine pretty good :(
