You checkin out anytime soon? Thought I remember a news story sometime ago featuring a 95 year old at a Cadillac dealer buying his next car. Said he buys a brand new one every year.I am curious if anyone is on their last vehicle. Basically given your age you don't think you will be getting another vehicle.
I am on my last car. When it dies, I retire and move to some warmer and poorer place. Maybe I'll get another car there, but it needs to be a pure off roader, good wading depth etc...I am curious if anyone is on their last vehicle. Basically given your age you don't think you will be getting another vehicle. If so how did you come to that conclusion and does that change how you maintain the vehicle.
Based on age?How would you know?
It is a legitimate question...I can’t believe someone would start such a depressing thread honestly.
How would you know?
Yes, I am on my last car. turning 90 in early April. My Son will get my 2017 Honda civic when I can no longer drive. He lives close enough to us to be able to drive us to Appts.I am curious if anyone is on their last vehicle. Basically given your age you don't think you will be getting another vehicle. When I was a GP I had an elderly practice. I didn't consider patients old until they were at least 95. My oldest patient was 107 and in good health when I left for further training. My second oldest was still cheating at cards when he was 104 - then died suddenly 2 weeks short of 105. I had an almost 90 year old ask if there was any reason she shouldn't get married (to a younger man I might add). And I couldn't think of any.Yes, I am on my last car. turning 90 in early April. How do like it? A neighbor is thinking about his last car and that one is on the list. He will finance it although has plenty of money. One thing about financing is you can get a 30 year mortgage at 100 years old and it isn’t anyone’s business. I like the look and sound of them, which is they sound quiet.83 this month and just purchased a 2021 Mazda CX5 turbo. I hope to be still driving it when I'm 93. Yes, my last vehicle. Ed
