I am curious if anyone is on their last vehicle. Basically given your age you don't think you will be getting another vehicle. If so how did you come to that conclusion and does that change how you maintain the vehicle.

I don't need a comb for my hair anymore. There will come a time where I won't need a truck anymore. Hopefully not too soon.
My parents and my mother and father in-law and many people I know are on their last car.

It's sad but just how it is!

I’m only 46, and plan on my 1990 Toyota 4x4 lasting me possibly till I’m gone. It’s so easy to keep it going and I keep the undercarriage wool waxed every winter. As for my summer only vehicle 1994 ford e150 I plan on it also being one of my last vehicles. At only 33,000 miles and absolutely no rust it’s as good as new. Now the 2015 Toyota Yaris I suspect will last quiet a while too.the 09 Pontiac vibe AKA Toyota Matrix is for sale now.

Yep, on my last one hopefully. I am 73 and just turned over 22000 miles on the Pilot. Last year only put 3900 on it.

I am soon turning 74 and I probably have my last motorhome. I have enough other vehicles that I am sure they will outlast me. My sister has 2 very low mileage vehicles and can't drive for medical reasons so I'll just use them if mine all quit.

Not even close. I’m young and my parents still aren’t close to stopping driving anytime especially since my dad has to do it for his job. He is 60 plans on retiring by 65 but doesn’t know if that will happen yet or not. Either way he won’t stop driving. My mom still works too so not happening anytime soon either. I know they aren’t on their last car we have so many anyway. Probably the last one that they will finance yes but last car or equipment no. I only drive when I absolutely have too so my cars will probably last a long time anyway and plus I’ll just fix them up whenever I need too. We drive about 6000-7000 miles a year usually if not more because I always have to change the oil every 3000 miles. So no no one in my family is close to giving up the driving yet.

I said that on the last one. Eyesight might do me in, hope to get through the test next time. Puts a different perspective on “cars.”

I’m only 100% sure about the comb …
I do plan to keep the Jeep a very long time unless gasoline becomes illegal …

I retired at 66 forever, my wife 3 months ahead of me. I have always loved the older Regal GS body styles and 2017 was the last year before the new styles would come out. so we bought one of the last on the dealers back lot collecting dust, got a real good deal. We both agreed this is our last new purchase and we are both pleased with it. She's a garage queen that's only driven on some weekends and on long highway trips. We still have our 08 Malibu LTZ that is our daily driver and my 83 Silverado that sits most of the time on the driveway.

I bought my 1985 Olds 88 coupe in April of 1992 and used it until February of 2020 so I keep a vehicle for a looooong time. My 2016 Honda CR-V that I bought in February of 2020 only has 24,350 miles on it now and I did have it rust protected, and plan to maintain it well. I'm 65 so it is a maybe on weather it is my last vehicle. Also in the last 25 years there have been 5 times that someone crashed and totaled parked vehicles on out street. Two of those crashes they managed to total more than one parked vehicle. One of them they totaled 2 parked vehicles, severely damaged another damaged a brick wall, and knocked down a telephone pole resulting in loss of power for the neighborhood. And they also totaled the brand new full size truck they were driving. So the current vehicle might not last long enough even with great care. I would say the chances of my vehicle being destroyed while parked are just about the same as for being destroyed while being driven, by some other driver making some major mistake.
