Irving advant 5w-40 synthetic?

to tell you the truth i was a bit surprised too ,seeing these 2 contradicted approvals . and we talked about it back then at summer.
but it was there for years.did anybody asked motul why did this happen?

if nobody had an answered, then i think motul had these 2 approvals for a reason.i have to trust them. isnt it what we do here? trust the approvals as someone always says when a guy shows up on the forum to ask which oil to choose?

Well, I'd assume the obvious answer is why we don't see the product on the official Porsche approval list, no? The alternative is that the product is mis-labeled and it was supposed to read C40, which would make a lot more sense (but not explain the Renault references unless they are just "recommended for").

i think that the ''recommended for'' is a good explanation but motul is very transparent on this too.they always use that language on their websites when a product is not approved for. so we are on the same spot where we begin.print mistake,could be but didnt they notice it,didnt tried to correct it? it was there for years.
it was on the list.xclean gen 2 replaced it so thats why we dont see it anymore.and now gen 2 lost it too so thats why we dont see any xclean for porsche.

You realize that makes no technical sense whatsoever. Perhaps you should be the one to ask Motul? Either that or just buy from a blender or manufacturer that doesn't do things like this. Lots of other fish in the sea of approvals.

i am not the one who is questioning motul,you do.i am pretty satisfied with that blender when ever i buy something.and i am not a fan boy too.as you see in my signature i bought a lot of other brands.but i am not doubting motul, is one of the 3-4 biggest blenders.
i am just quoting your argument ,presenting a technical argument ,a photo of the cmpanies bottle with their approvals.whats more technical than that? you said your technical argument and we disagree.i dont see the fuss over this.

X-Clean is OLD. It was replaced by Gen2 a long time ago. This is appears to be an exception for Motul, not how they normally operate with the approved line of oils.

i know it was replaced by gen2 ,i am here..exception or not it was there.we dont know the reason,thats we all have to agree.wrong or right it was there
