Lots of us having issues with Verizon and trying to text (MMS) in mixed groups of iPhones and androids.

Verizon isn’t doing anything.

Hours and hours with techs. One after the other doing the same thing for me.

I can text androids.

I can’t text a group if an android is in it.

18 won't be feature complete (with the AI stuff) until 18.2 or later, so unless there is some compelling reason in 18.0 to update, waiting is an option.

Im holding off for them to iron out issues. I get it, few are affected but I dont want to be one and as you posted I suspect newer updates will be rather frequent on iOS 18. I find it interesting that my wife and I have not been prompted to update our iPhone 13s yet. We dont do automatic updates and unless we request it wont update however we are alerted when one is available and have not received it yet.

(im aware even if not alerted yet we can request it and receive it)

The RCS isn’t life changing you still can’t edit an already sent message

I turned it off as many said it can be a source of conflict within the ios.
