We're in a depression. It's a shame we have such an ugly ugly pol environment now, for everyone's sake.

I was under the impression that chart shows that not implementing austerity has proven remarkable for the United States's employment turnaround since the financial crisis, compared to other countries. From peak employment to turnaround has been 2 years compared to other countries. The next best country has been 4 years. Granted, it could just be the cookbook of the month club known as the US department of labor.

+1 LOL exactly. Hard to say. It's a tough balance. I think the biggest thing holding us back right now is uncertainty. And that has occurred for a lot of reasons.

I saw the below link posted on a good blog. While it's an infomercial for a financial newsletter, these guys know their stuff and I agree 100% with their findings and conclusions on energy, food, water, economy and upcoming hardships.

I have been studying global macroeconomic issues since 2007 and came to the very same conclusions.

It's a long video though, you can pause it by clicking on it:

I have all week off work, so besides projects, I have more time to evaluate & find opportunities.

Looks like O had a nice pullback, so I'm buying that this morning. If you look at it's pullbacks in the past,
they're about the same amount as it's pulled back now.
A nice gain has happened each time after that in it's recent past.

Thoughts??

What's on your radar?

The NYSE McClellan Summation Index (it's a summation of advancing to declining stocks), on most moving average based technical indicators, has crossed over to the downside on a weekly basis. I cashed out of my SPY and IWM positions yesterday.

Darn; I thought CGR (Canadian penny stock gold miner) would do the same thing but I got my [censored] kicked on that one. Stopped right out. Sigh.

Wow! This has been a fun one to watch... Guess the trip to below $3 was just a bear raid?

So in theory when would you call the exit on this? I still havent exited from ARNA that I got in at $1.50 on...

Yea, I said it would be a roller coaster ride...

Was going to buy more yesterday.

Edit: Over $4 now!!

Top out short term should be right after the settlement is announced.

Long term it should run some.

Sold 80% of my VRNG at 4.10 to lock in the gain.

Will let the rest run.

Funny, this may go to $34, so I should buy like crazy.

but who knows.

$34? I was thinking $14

Popped back below $4, fun to watch

I'll regret this if it goes to $14 or $34.

I got stopped out of VRNG on 9/27. Set my stop one penny lower then the low on 8/1.

I still haven't learned. I am the worst stock picker/trader on Earth. I do great when sticking with ETFs and index ETF options.

I think there should be at least one more sizable push up before miners fizzle. I have a good luck with HL lately. GDXJ is a good ETF for juniors.

After that looking for shorting targets.

I've made out great in playing NUGT and GDXJ. However, both are looking really weak now.

The Fed needs to come out tomorrow and buy everyone's mortgages.
