Glad I loaded up on Microsoft. Will continue to hold.

Not a good day for me![]()
Its BITOG investing. You only talk about the wins. Sorta like Cramer.I don't often see people here talking about losses and bad days.....just big wins.
Yes this.Sorry to hear. Hopefully it'll turn around for you.
I don't often see people here talking about losses and bad days.....just big wins.
But I suspect there's as many losses as gains for the most part.
Wall Street is a casino. The House doesn't like to lose.
Eh, I’ve been in the red many times. Red for the day, week, month, whatever.MS up, AAPL down. Mine's a wash, then add to it the MO problems and my non-etf portfolio is in the red big time today.

The stock market is not exactly like a casino and I do not approach it as such. I mean sure they both have risks and in some ways yes WS can be worse. We could go on about it, not trying to convince anyone, but the largest black box difference is simply the element of time. My viewpoint is this:I absolutely cannot speak of anyone BUT.....
I can't see how anyone consistently wins in a casino without some kind of insider advantage.
This is by no means to imply someone could not be so skilled as to win on wall Street consistently.
I just don't know enough about WS.
Most of my bigger sums came from importing goods by the container and retail/wholesale stores (back in the day).
It's a lot harder to succeed big at that today.

Casino T=0
Stock market T = ∞
SQQQ is just nasty. It's too late to get in and you never can hold. The point? Wealth GONE. I've played with it, but never 100+ shares. Nope.YES the market can crash, anytime. That said, in the long run the greatest "wealth destroyers" are generally inverse, or short funds.

I am a very happy 70/30 investor.
