Not necessarily. Selling and moving to cash could be considered rebalancing.
I realize were simply arguing over words, but going to cash is not rebalancing IMHO.
I consider it rebalancing as cash reserves is an asset class.
Some of you hate this statement, but the bond market corrects itself. It doesn't care about me or old people.

If people think long bonds gonna further tank, short the funds, make some short calls and puts. Make a low bid (sell a put), own them for the income and sell covered calls to supplement that income. Make some money when others are sitting on the can.

When it comes to you, certainly.....
10 yr TIPS fixed component is back above 2% this morning. 2.06ish to be exact. Also 5 yr A rated corporates are available for above 5%. I don't have much powder dry today. Nibbled at CLOA. It's the highest yielding of my AAA CLO ETFs. Thoughts on future inflation?

Agreed...I escaped today
@SC Maintenance slight sale. Funny thing, these purchases pull my average share cost UP. Near $23 now! Of course, lowers my yield but larger cash every 3 months. I mean I could sell everything and buy BACPRB...............naw that wouldn't be good.
