Realize I am talking my book - so feel free to throw stones. After not owning a individual tech stock in a decade I now own 2.

AMZN has officially underperformed the broad market in 1 year and 5 years. I believe its the only "MAG 7" that is close.

Am I crazy, but is AMZN really a below average bet vs the rest of the S&P 500?

Don't invest in companies.
Be a flipologist and invest in yourself...

Im in AMZN, WMT and META and out of cash to buy more in this account. Been knocked around pretty good giving up my gains of the last two years but not down (yet) :(

I have been meaning to ask, honest question. Is there a well known, well run FOCUSED forum for people interested in investing in the stocks of individual companies. Im sure there are many, does anyone have suggestions?
Im about to start searching one day. My interests are solid companies, long term, short term, day trades too. But actually buying the stock. No contracts etc. Not interested, past that point in my life.

Any honest, well informed source, would tell us to invest our money in a low fee S&P 500 index fund, then use our time doing something fun & productive. We are all guilty of not doing this.

No.

X is your best bet, but its mostly Macro.

Reddit is the two extremes on any stock - if you want to run an average.

There are investor specific forums where everyone talks there book.

Ironically, maybe someone on Bogleheads.org can give you advice. There is also Reddit, but some of their threads get out of control, so you have to find the right sub to join.

Actually my 401k is in Nasdaq and S&P index funds and I think your thinking is correct for many.
I have a separate Roth that I invest in individual companies.
Im not looking for a source, im looking for a well run forum to discuss individual companies.

My 401K is in the "Vangaurd total market" fund or such drivel. I look at it once a year. I don't consider that investing. Its prudent tax deferred savings. My employer provides no match unfortunately.

I invest in other stuff with my unencumbered money.

Never tried any of them, I always thought of reddit as a zoo but have used them for information, though not stock market related.
I guess everything is a zoo. Where do I find "X" as in twitter?

Not looking for advice in the sense of buying and selling. Just open discussions on individual companies of which I have my own reasons for owning. A place to pick up ideas. Yeah, always thought of Redditt.

I let the Schwab Wealth Advisory manage a bunch, but we take my stock options and grants out of the balance equation because it would sway the numbers outta wack. Basically take out the outliers. Take out TSLA too, because he's wack too.

In some cases, wack ain't too bad...

My IRA and brokerage account at All Time Highs.

I still believe the house of cards comes crashing down on current administration.

When ?
I don’t know the date but definitely 100% before he leaves office.

Have cash for LOTS of buying opportunities.
