In years past when I was down I would engineer escape routes to get out with a small profit.

I no longer buy down and just sit back and take it like a man 😇

More panic selling in the futures. The stock market is literally crashing on the fears that American companies will actually have to start hiring Americans.
I don't have a problem with Americans as long as they know their place 🫣😜

We will never see 50% drop . My guess 25-30 . Then the big boys will swoop in . Wall Street loves a sale , they initiated .
Americans love their cheap junk that's for sure , I think it's a addiction to shopping myself . It might even fill a emotional void for them , I'm not a shrink but I play one on the internet. But it's their right to do so . It does keep the third world economies chugging along .

If the 4% unemployment rate goes to what, maybe 2% and that spooks the market? Rather the opposite and the contraction in spending.

Supposedly back door fed meeting has just turned markets positive.

Anyone want to take over / under on it being true?

Waited too long to buy the dip on an energy stock I like. It did dip, but I thought maybe it would go lower. It did not and rocketed right back up. I'll have to keep an eye out but so far it does not appear as though the sky is falling.

Agreed but in all fairness it's the unions. these foreign workers are at will and if they try to join a union or form their own they'll get fired and if they do they're instantly deported since you must always be employed to stay here and truth is unions just don't let companies have the cost control they need. that is unfortunately a regulation that is going to have to go away if America is going to be able to compete. We also need to tax the heck out of countries using tariffs that use child/forced/coerced labor and or don't let their own people unionize which they do to compete better.

Can somebody explain to me why it's fine for another country to have a 30% or 40% tariff on American goods but it's terrible if we put half of that (tariff wise) back on them?
"They" have a fragile economy, and we don't. Lol.

I wanna know who is really paying the duty (tariff) on Japanese and or German made vehicle and component imports into the U.S. Is it the Foreign company under some N. American shell? Like who really is Subaru of America?

I am reading it's a subsid of Subaru Corp of Japan.

Is not a U.S. agent requied to pay duties or is there some other arrangement for large manufacturing streams not a part of T- MEC?

Now, if I imported foreign stuff here to resell or manufacture, My U.S. based business agent would have to pay the Duty - not the foreign exporter. There is the domestic hurting.

Funny. I ran to buy a GR86 that just came in locally this past weekend, I tried to shorehorn in, but alas I gotta Ozempic to at least minus 25 Kilos to fit in there. She be a tight lil' mistress.
Don't you have a motor to blow 😜
Yeah I know...going away now.

White house denies rumor.

Sold my shorts anyway. They were up a lot. Sold Goog. Sitting on AMZN, GLD and a handful of off-shore stuff, and lots of cash.

I have no problem with down markets. When they swing 6% in seconds on an untrue rumor - had enough for today.
