Internet broke

Has anyone noticed the "internet" seems screwy the last couple weeks? A large number of websites and forums are down, slow, not working properly, etc. Just wondering if if just in my little corner.

Who's your internet service provider? We use Comcast and they had some slow downs a month or so ago but all is okay now.

depending who the upper level service provider is, there's a lot of issues currently going on between peering ISPs: savvis, level3 and cogent.

Sounds more like a problem with your equipment or with your particular service provider.

The sites going down isn't on my side. They acknowledge they're having problems. I have been thinking about switching from OpenDNS to Google to see if some sites speed up.

I did just do a speed test through my router and the results were all over the place.

Try resetting your dsl or cable modem, then reset your wireless route, just in case you have not done that yet. Cures many ills.

Restarted the modem and router and the wireless wouldn't connect. Rebooted computer and every looks normal. Speeds on the tests are normal.

XO, Verizon, and AT&T have all been having some pretty high impact DS3 outages these past few weeks...
