I was just trying to follow the logic...I assumed that if cP = cSt x s.g., and for 5w30, cP=5300 @ -30C and cSt=6400 @ 40C, then s.g = cP/cST = 5300/6400 = 0.828.quote:

10w30 would be roughly 7000 cP @-30ºC
Then, I assumed (again, probably incorrectly) that if 10w30 has a s.g. of .862 according to the PDS, then cP = cSt * sg = 6600 x 0.862 = 5689, while the PDS said the cP was 3500 @ -25C. It doesn't look right, but it's probably just my own ignorance.
I'm probably all screwed up on this, but I was just trying to put the pieces together.
