Several years ago I had the flu so bad I couldn't get up Christmas morning to watch (my then young) kids open up their Christmas presents (no flu shot). Since that time I made it a point every year to get a flu shot. As you may know-they are available almost everywhere-no Doctor's office visit needed. Since then I have never had the flu. That's good enough anecdotal evidence for me.

Just read a newspaper article on Sunday-the flu is having a resurgence-according to the reports it's not unusual for this to happen late in the season. And it's a different strain-which the flu shot covers.

Dont have the info about how much formaldehyde it contain, but would be nice to know. Do you have? A healty human body can handle influenza without the vaccin. So i dont call it science. A vaccin thats protect you from hepatit c would be science for exampel. Like i said above, i take the vaccin that works... after all its my body.

You do realize that it's all relative right? Asbestos is a naturally occurring substance, same as mold. It's all around you as you walk around outside.

Tylenol will kill you if you take just a little more than the recommended dose. Same with Aspirin. Floride is also a poison, yet it's very common in the water supply. You probably have trace amounts of lead in your system.

To be fair, fringe science sometimes becomes mainstream science. Like the big bang, before that it was the steady state theory. But the problem was that all the observations and data didn't support the steady state theory and it all fit the big bang.

The problem with this fringe science is that there's no data that supports it and you can't even really call it science. And there's data involving hundreds of thousands and even millions going back decades. This fringe stuff has nothing.

Show me the data.

I disagree with Sagan there...you can't require a different burden of proof for any single area of science just because it's "new"

Ehh, yeah. Many know that asbestos is a naturally occurring substance. And human body have little amout of formaldehyde. And so does apple. The formaldehyde is used to deactivate the virus in a chicken egg(making process) . So The vaccin contain a little amout of formaldehyde. But i think its not healty to inject straight to the blood the formaldehyde every year. And now i am talking about this vaccin:

And what data do you need?


The data that says it's bad for you. Then you weight that with all the data that says it works or isn't bad for you. It's a judgement call. You weigh the risks. Like wearing seat belts, it's more likely than not that it will save your life in an accident. Yet compliance is nowhere near 100%. Not everyone is as smart as they think.

The data that says its bad for you? You know that every sort of vaccin have a risk group. Just like the H1N1 vaccin that didnt tell you can get narcolepsy.

Will never be any data on any vaccin that tells you its 100% risk free or dosent effect any health issues. Its all depends on our body after all.

I wasn't expecting anything like that. But if you're playing the roulette wheel and one gives you a 98 or 99% chance of either winning or not losing and the other has less than 1% chance of winning and you have to play one of them, which one are you going to play?

Life is random. People die every day. I'm sure many of those that die every day didn't think it was going to be them.
