Initial UOA on 2007 Accord I4, 5K miles on car/oil

Here is my first UOA on my Accord I4. I broke the car in per the owner's manual. Mostly driven to and from work 12 miles one way and a 2000 mile trip to Fla and back.

If there is anyone out there who knows these engines I'd appreciate your comments (and anyone elses for that matter).

I know of a 2000 Honda Accord with the 2.2 that has 140000 miles with 3000 mile oci of regular old mobil clean 5000. This is a stout engine of good design.

That would be 5w30 Mobil bulk oil sometimes the oci would get extended to 4000 or 5000 miles depending on the owners schedule.

Looks like normal break-in and the reason to change oil in the first 1000 miles to me. Should be fine with additional time and changes.

Based on this report I don't see any serious need for a 1000 mile oil change, as the amount of wear metals in his oil at 5000 miles don't look anywhere near the danger zone at all. Sure they are higher than we're used to seeing on a typical 5k run, but they aren't cause for concern.

This engine will still last 300k plus, whether the owner did the first oil change at 1k or at 5k.
