Twin turbo? Whats the oil pressure and oil temperature like during your driving sessions?

What cylinders blew? which rods?
Tuning might be an issue. Yep, just because you're happy with the A/F ratio doesn't mean its correct. 2nd opinion(2nd wideband) might be needed.
Or, since the A/F ratio is an AVERAGE, could maybe ONE cylinder be a little lean with the rest making up for it by being little rich. Detonation/preignition can also happen without you hearing it. A knock sensor waits for the knock. In ragged edge tuning, waiting for anything is too late.
Get the injectors on the new engine flowed.
Its a known fact that the VQ35 doesn't take boost all that well. You proved it with the 'boom'. Good luck with upgraded components. You're not going with a stock rebuild, right?
