Pennzoil 10w-30 High Mileage .... be a leader not a follower

It's good oil man and 9 bucks and change for 5 quart jugs

since your in florida i would think a 40wt would protect your engine best.

Your last plan is excellent. I would use the GTX for the dino oil. GTX 10w-30 is excellent and would give you a good comparison to see if the board is really right about the dino.

FYI, I'll be posting my first UOA from my G35 in about a month, assuming I keep going at my current pace. From new until 6k, I ran several fills of Havoline 5w-30. It now has GC in it, which as you know is a thick 30, which should work well in a VQ. It will be interesting to see if mine behaves like yours with syn.

I'm at 39,778 right now and should hit 40K by next weekend, that'll be 3,783 miles on the oil. I should have another UOA in a couple of weeks. Since it's a relatively short OCI for M1, I'm expecting low wear levels... we'll see.
