Exactly. I see these 20-30% deals and they aren't even close to Wallyville or Amazon pricing

AutoZone mailed me a special coupon book with some oil coupons. I saved the coupon for 4 months in a safe place and reminded my wife weekly not to throw it away for when I'd need oil. Stopped by Walmart for something else and took a look down their oil aisle and saw their every day price was cheaper than the coupon price at AZ.

Oil and Filters and other fluids/chemicals are the only reason I go to Walmart!

Me too. Although when I am there to pick up oil I often will pick up other things like food items to avoid a separate trip to the grocery store.
If I just need food though I will go to the grocery store HEB because they have better stuff than Walmart's food department, and HEB is Texas-based, and they have the Cooking Connection, and so on and so on. Actually if I ever left Texas, HEB would probably be the thing I missed the most! It's a fantastic grocery store, best I have been to anywhere.

Just come up to Canada to buy oil and you can spend a similar amount on oil. The only thing that looked sensible there was the Rotella.

We would hit Hamilton, St. Catharine's, Stoney Creek etc.

So I don't think I can have a stash.

If you buy cheap oil you get "Atta Boys" here on BITOG. Then, when you can't use it and need to resale it they tell you your asking too much!
I'm with another BITOG member-if you really want to save money stock up on cheap toilet paper-something you use more than motor oil!
