In relation to the RP vs M1 cam wear thread.

Has anyone ever done that same kind`ve test/comparison with two top notch conventional oils? Or maybe a conventional vs a synth,and pulled the camshafts to compare wear?

I have seen many high mileage engines(excess of 300K) with M1 and never had a need to tear down the engine, much less check for wear.

tig, we KNOW. That is not what he was asking.

Buster, I know it's not exactually the same, but no one takes engines apart without cause. If no cause, no wear check.
