Most of the time I would agree with you, but chasing down restoration parts for this one would be an expensive and slow undertaking and never get what you put into it. I don't love the car enough to spend the money or time, and I'm at the age where time keeps getting shorter. At best, I'd put enough into it to make it an old driver. But a sleeper still calls me lol. I'll go look at it though when I get a chance, the price is right.I disagree, A classic like that deserves a proper restoration since it appears basically 100% complete. A 1960's Muscle car getting an LS yes.
Looking at the pictures again, that isn't a diesel like the ad says, it's a six cylinder gas motor. I may have to go look at it sooner rather than later.
Would this 65' have Fuel Injection though? The "E" in 190E stands for : Einspritzung... "Fuel injection". Gasoline specifically. If this car was diesel, it would be 190"D". I hope I'm not getting too pedantic.
This car isn't 20 miles from me. I don't need a project right now... it looks rough.
I don't know, but the German fighter planes of WW2 were fuel-injected, as were some early Corvettes, so mechanical FE was certainly around back then.Would this 65' have Fuel Injection though?
